I was really into Snapchat's geofilters when the app was at its peak popularity. Whenever I visited a new city or area I always checked to see what geofilters were available. I especially loved visiting smaller towns and seeing what filters were available because those were usually made by someone locally and not by Snapchat HQ. I eventually decided to try my hand at my own and choose a place that meant a lot to me, Owens Field Park in Columbia, SC. I used to live near this park and would walk my dogs, run, and explore the park on an almost daily basis.
My favorite part of Owens Field Park is the winding trail through the surrounding forest. My dogs and I loved walking through this trail, kept cool even during the summer thanks to the tall pine trees, and listen to all of the animals that lived there in the middle of a city. We'd see song birds, turtles and on a few occasions we'd stumble upon a hawk eating its dinner.
